I have started uploading review papers and opening a series of discussion sessions about this company at academia.edu. Everyone is welcome to join the discussions and to download the papers.

By carefully examining statistics and the information given to students the paper is able to show that the Biblical Hebrew courses are not effective for the vast majority of students who pay considerable amounts of money to sign up for them. They also show that very important procedures which are employed by the company when the courses are being delivered are never revealed to students. The business objectives of the company are purely to make a profit and not to deliver successful academic instruction to students.

The current paper (Appendix B) continues the enquiry started in a previous paper into the advisability of engaging profit making organisations to deliver academic content through the kind of relationship represented by the partnership established between the Hebrew University and eTeacherBiblical aka The Israel Institute of Biblical Studies. Appendix B considers the statistics for the Biblical Hebrew A and Biblical Greek A semesters which both started on 22 May 2016. The issues raised include:

1) The procedures when no student attends a scheduled lesson.

2) The procedures when no student attends a scheduled lesson for three consecutive classes.

3) The procedures for making recorded lessons available to students.

4) The procedures to ensure that students are offered all 30 classes scheduled to be taught during each semester.

5) Availability of recordings and course pages.

6) Class sizes.

7) The procedures when there is a technical difficulty which prevents a student from connecting to an end of semester examination.

Also introduced in this paper is consideration of the Institute's compliance with Israel's Consumer Protection legislation and whether students are made aware at any stage of the regulations which the eTeacher Group's administrative staff apply when implementing the procedures listed above. Should these procedures be considered as "matter material to a transaction" as defined by Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-****?

Apologies for the typing error in the title. It should of course read A Fatally Flawed Experiment.

Unfortunately the site does not allow the text to be amended although it is possible to add to it.You will need to copy and paste the link in order to join the discussion session or to read and download the paper which is an important indictment of the manner in which the eTeacher Group behaves towards its paying customers.Thank you to the administrators of this site which is one of the few places on the Web where the facts of the way that students are treated by this organisation are brought to light. Some students are happy with the eTeacher Group.

The vast majority are not and this is reflected in the number of negative and positive reviews which are found here. The negative reviews far outnumber the positive ones.
