Thanks for all the reviews. I followed a link on Facebook, thinking I was interested in learning Hebrew.

After reading probably 30-40 of the posts relating people's experiences with this company, with mostly very unfavorable reviews, I have decided to NOT get involved with this company any further. I was fortunate cause when they called, I put off giving personal information other than email and phone, so they have not, will not, get a dime out of me.

Thanks ever so much for this site! You have saved me a great deal of money because as I understood when they called me at home, the price was somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200 dollars US

My Greek Teacher

She is awesome. She is very caring and concerned with the process of learning. I want to thank Dr. Artemi, for her patience and work with me. Dr. Artemi, has been an inspiration in learning Greek and understanding the Biblical aspect of the language. Because of the way I'm being taught the Greek language, it has inspired me to work harder to learn what is being taught. My Hebrew courses are a bit difficult, but I am grasping the concept of the language. I find that the the Aramaic is a *** more difficult for me. I will keep working on these languages. The lecture class I have are very informative. The billing has been a *** of a nightmare, I think I finally got them to correct the issues.

I have never been able to log into a lesson properly

I am now so frustrated in all the troubles I have had with Eteacher group that I have completely lost heart and DO NOT WISH TO LEARN HEBREW IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM. Most of your " customer Service officers " do anything but care, they come accross as rude, in a hurry, with yet another product to sell. Another problem is their lack of Adult English skills, these people should not speak with the ablities of a child or Oleh Hadash. The only member of your staff I would highly recommend is Manasrah Mohammed,( TS ) he is highly professional, yet kind and friendly and always is polite enough to explain in understandable detail. Even better he speaks excellent English.. So I would like a full refund on the money I have given you for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THANKYOU. MUSAAB. My student number is : 543 **** Let me make it unequivocally clear that I expect aTotal Refund of Course Fees.

I would reccomend to be very careful of eTeacherHebrew and NEVER to trust them! They sell products and "packages", the prices differ in spoken and written form, even in 80 USS. - When purchased the Ulpan, they cheated with the original price and their "reduction", in written offer were different numbers, when offered by phone they said again different prices and in the "bill" there was again different price. - Offered number of lessons was different from number of lessons when applied. Noone in customer service spoke about vacations. I got offer for 1 year of lessons, in real they shortened it crazily to 8 months, plus they added vacations. - There was no term of proper level, so I had to wait 2 months for the term of study program. When "recruited", they promised the possibility anytime to change to different term of the same level, according to my time possibilities. When the term was scheduled (in 2 months), I got info that there is no other terms and new ones will be scheduled in other crazy time. After these 2 months changed my time possibilities, thats why I couldnt participate in the lessons (except of once), so after another 6 weeks I got reccomendation to go to new terms they got, with "extra" price for me, that was more that half of original price. - Ordered product Yanshuv started to be sent properly, but I never got any information about "vacation" when it will not be sent, for this I had always to call few times and the answer I got only after 4 phonecalls. When they stopped sending again, I wrote to them and explained which number I got as the last one and required to get the missing numbers. The answer I got from them was ... request for explaining which numbers are missing ... Even as extra Im getting now spam e-mails how they are transfering this info to different department... - Ordered product Babylon - I never got the direct link to download the program, when you go through the page of the producer, you download just the free version, still with warning of few antiviruses, that its a infected item ! I didnt get any licence number and password. When I informed eTeachers, so they always complained that its different department etc. Only after many phonecalls I got information that I should "create my own licence number and password", to send it to them and they will program it. Never heard bigger nonsense, they obviously are trying even to affect my privacy. From purchase to getting the licence data it took 2 months ! - The system of eTeachers is very bad - when they send e-mails, often you dont get any e-mail from them. I have few proves and evidences, when they sent me e-mails from their system and I didnt get it at all, or just in 6-7 hours. When they sent me the same e-mails from their private e-mails, I got them immediatelly. One of customer service representants was all the time very arogantly insisting that they sent me few times and I received the e-mails for sure. When I asked her who is she to try to accuse me from lying, she behaved even worse, so I had to start to shout at her and I called her the liar and cheater, as the whole company. - Customer service is very non-professional, lying and mostly arrogant. You can NEVER trust what they say, they are ALWAYS CHEATING and LYING ! - They dont respect anything and anyone and seems to be that they dont use the brain. When they call, always from different numbers (New York, Paris, Tel Aviv, Riga, Montpellier, hidden number) - does it give the sense to call once and when not answered to call immediatelly again ??? Most probably if the customer cant answer, he will not be able to answer 5 seconds later ? And to call 20 times a day ??? - They always call even on Shabbat. When I informed them few times that it is not ok, they informed me that it will not happen again, they wrote it to system - LIARS ! - they called on shabbatot again and even on High Holidays (15 - 20 times a day !) - this is crazy arrogancy and CHUTZPA ! - Having such experiences, in the end (after few months) I refused to answer their phonecalls and wrote them I dont allow them to contact me via phone anymore, just via e-mail, because they always lie and I want to have written prove. No answer and in few days they called me again few times. I dont know, but according to my information, when you take back the right to call to someones phone, in Czech Republic (where Im from) and Israel (and I guess also in USA) is prohibited to harass the people. - They never solve the problem, on everything they write that they did whatever they needed to do in order to reach me but they couldn't... Nonsense. When they cant reach a person, they just should write and thats all. If I would call them, anyway they have no info for me and they always just mixing facts, you never get to the same person and they always say they will call you. Im working hard so I cant wait whole day long for some cheater to call me whenever he/she just has time. - I was their customers already few years ago. I was very satisfied with the teacher and with their services. Then they started to be very business oriented and started to cheat. Never sent the e-mails, never got from them any information about lessons and they charged my credit card even if they werent allowed. When I complained, they never reacted or they started to attack me that everything is my fault. Stopped to contact them. Since I got information that everything changed in their system and they spread the info about new owners etc., I went into this again - but as I can see, the things became even worse and eTeachers became eTreachers, one big scam. - This time will demand my money back and I will not let them to steal anymore. Even if it will take me long time and a lot of work with my bank and card providers like Visa and MasterCard. Wandering what eTeachers will do when both of those companies will rate them as non-reliable partner ? My reccomendation ? STAY AWAY FROM THEM !

I've been allowed to change the course without paying extra. This was 3 phonecalls and two e-mails later.

I've been pressured by e-teacher online into taking more courses. After I did and wanted to change to a different course that was not possible unless I took two other courses and get pressured into spending even more money. I am very dissatisfied about all this!!! I tried to change the second course months before start, so it was not a last minute thing. They call you and talk very fast and make it sound like your are not going to spend any money, scheduling you to a course before settling the payment. I find the contact very manipulating and I have to take care to stand my ground.

Eteacher Group - No customer service

I received a call from a very polite consultant we had such a good conversation. A charge was made to my card and I cancelled my order within 3 hours of the call by sending an email to customarecare@***.com which I copied from the terms and conditions noting the spelling of the email address.

I have sent the above to Service@***.com too without results is this just bad service or is this a scam?

To add to the above I logged a ticket on the website too which still is has not been closed. The contact person that I spoke to attached my email to him which was nice of him, however, there is still no response.

I had a pop up on my Facebook and I responded to the ad for the Hebrew Institute for Bibiical Language on Saturday eve. On Sunday morning I got my first call from a sells rep who said "Shalom from Israel". The caller ID said Massachusetts. I was impressed with the price but wanted to talk with my husband. I promptly received an email with additional enrollment information. The next day I sent an email stating that I was interested in enrolling and received a call within minutes. I had asked about their Hebrew language program for kids and told them how my grandson loves wearing his yarmulke and tzit-zit. The sales rep preceded to refer to my grandson as her and she. That's when I started to really question who o was on the phone and was concerned about giving a foreign country my bank information with so I put them off. They called 9 times over the next day and a half and each time I let it go to voice mail. Each missed call was followed up with an email. When I sent an email telling them I had decided to wait and felt pressure to make a fast decision, the response I got back was reminding me that I was the one who said I wanted to enroll and their persistence was just good customer services. I can't say if this is a scam or not but I would not give my bank information. I would have gone to my bank to open a limited bank account but they called on the weekend and Monday was a holiday. So that didn't help élevait my concerns.

Be very, very careful with this company. Some of their teachers are excellent - others are not and if you end up with a bad one you will not have a good experience.

Never give them your bank details. If you sign up pay by Paypal. If you don't have an account it is easy to open one. If you try to cancel and are paying in instalments and they have your bank details they will take the balance immediately out of your bank account.

I don't know what price they quoted you for the foundation course. The cost of each course is 1199USD for 30 55 minute lessons although you can often haggle a discount out of them. As many as 16 or even 17 students can be assigned to each class so the time for each student is limited at the beginning. By the end it will be a different matter as by this time most students will have fled.

There are also several Open Classes if you have time to attend - this is for students to ask questions so is not a conventional class as such.

The courses are confusing and not well structured for beginners or even more advanced students. Well over 70% of the students who sign up for the foundation course never complete it and at the end of it you will not have covered the whole of the basic verb which is not started until Unit 20 which is far too late. By the end of the course you will not have covered imperatives, participles or infinitives which are left until the Course B.

There are far less expensive and much more effective options for learning Biblical Hebrew.

Biblical Hebrew is not easy - whatever they try to tell you. It takes hours each week of disciplined study to be successful.

Think very, very carefully before you agree to take a course with this company. The "academic advisors" have no academic qualifications or experience - they are hard nosed sales reps who will sell you as much as they possibly can.

What I was sold was cultural bible teachings and I was erroneously plonked in modern Hebrew language class group. After I protested I was placed in a biblical Hebrew language class group! Again I said to them I never wanted to learn a language but to learn what I bought was going to cost more because of the changes despite ETeacher making an incompetent mistake and they are so argumentative! Stay away from this online teaching company and the customer service are terrible. And the sales people who sell you the courses are like car salesmen. I was made to pay for an expensive language book which I never wanted to do and they never addressed this oversight. The customer service of this company is appalling!

Eteacher Group - Hebrew Course Review

I signed up for a Modern Hebrew Utopian course after 11 , soliciting phone calls from e-mail teacher, but had to cancel due to work. The nightmare strated when I wanted a refund.

Nobody wasv ever available and when I sent emails, they always said they had to "complete the process." I told them there was nothing to complete but that I wanted my refund. Week later. No refund, nobody had called to complete the process. Called my credit card company and add I have everything documented, they will contact the company.

In the meanwhile, I am waiting for a contact from e teacher.

How disappointing to set such sleazy business practice. AVOID THIS COMPANY!##

This is the most dishonest company I've had the misfortune of dealing with ever! The sales person gave an Oscar winning performance last month when she called me. She quoted the price for the course in US dollars. I remember comment in that it was so cheap! I was really impressed. The R251 deposit quote I initially received turned out to be over R1900. They were calling incessantly when they wanted me to sign up, but now my phone hardly rings and I don't get responses to my emails. They're a bunch of *** artists. They're peddling Biblical Hebrew but they're so dishonest.

eTeacher got hold of me by telephone and email last week and advised that they would review their telephone records and if the sales person had, in fact, quoted me the fees in Rands, then they would give me a full refund. I'm pleased to report that they kept to their word and the money was paid into my account this morning, a day after they confirmed they had logged the refund onto their system. From reading about other people's experiences, I count myself very lucky to have received a full refund. All glory to God. A good thing my telephone call was recorded and they could ascertain that I was quoted in Rands.

Scam Alert - Beware!

Avoid this company. They have the worst sales people.

They are extremely pushy and they constantly harass you via phone multiple times per day. I was sick and unable to attend a couple of sessions. They called and tried to sell me a new class by discounting what I had already paid into the current semester. That evening, my card was charged a total of eight times for amounts that I never authorized.

My credit card's fraud department alerted me and closed my account. When I called the next day, they claimed that another department was responsible for the charges. I kept asking for the name of the department, but the only thing the sales rep was concerned about was my normal monthly payments which were declined. Well yes it was declined because my account was closed - thanks to their dishonest billing department.

Finally, after yelling at this guy (which I hated to do but that is the only way that I could get his attention) he provided the name of the department. He told me to call the main number.

I called back and requested this department by name, only to be told that there is no such department. This company is a scam.

These people are awful

Customer service is awful. They are telling me they will sue because I dropped out due to poor customer service.

The teachers are great, but I'm done with them. They don't call me for a week, lie and say they called every day. I can subpoena the phone records for court, honey. These people are 2nd rate amateurs.

Go to a real school. I will use Oregon State for my Hebrew Studies, as this isn't worth the headache. The teachers are wonderful but the customer service people yell at you, over you, and they call constantly trying to sell you additional products.

Its a nightmare. Don't do it.

Agree with all the comments of people who had money stolen and time wasted because of the unethical practices of this company.

I suppose I should consider myself "lucky" (?) to have been "bilked" out of a mere $199 dollars. (?) For that amount of money, I have received "only" moderately abusive phone calls. From what I read on this site, conflicting information is standard practice at eTeacher so I shouldn't be angry about that, (?). Don't know what other folks received to adapt their computers for an online "course." but all they sent me was a useless set of Hebrew letters to stick on a computer keyboard. Nothing to adapt a computer.(?) I mailed them back to eTeacher. I have canceled the account from which they withdrew funds. If you are scammed by this company don't waste a moment canceling your account(s)! Also, don't trust any of their so called "customer service reps." They are just playing for time. I'm ashamed and disappointed if this company originates in Israel. However the envelope containing the alphabet stickers was mailed from France, so your guess is as good as mine. Unfortunately, it's clearly been well planned and has been able to operate long enough to be well practiced. Buyer Beware. Don't believe what you see on the website. Don't enter personal information so that "a representative can contact you." If you've already done that and they call"Just say "No, thanks." and hang up the phone! Then, block their number as fast as you can. You will never be able to reach any one of their "toll-free numbers."

I registered more six month ago for a course and paid via credit card. I never received the log on information.

so I was never able to access the course I paid for. I spoke to Eteacher Group representatives and was told that the log on was sent to me. They did not give it to me nor emailed to me. Yet I was charged $100 monthly for the course.

They never gave me a local New York number nor a name to reach anyone. Now that I have blocked them from cashing in on my credit card, I promptly received an email with a local number and a name asking me for payment.
